Meeting Minutes from Monday January 5th, 1998
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Paul Cassel, VE3SY President of the club All present then introduced themselves. Ben Sasiela VE3BNY introduced our Guest Speaker, Rick Hergott of Industry Canada who gave a very interesting talk on the Rules and Regulations of Amateur Radio at this time. We then broke for coffee The meeting continued with John VE3VRA winning a membership to RAC in the 50 50 Draw. It was announced that a new location has been arranged for the Kitchener Guelph Flee Market. The new location is in Fergus and the feeling is that with the new location the event will be bigger and better than ever. The date of the Flee Market is June 13, 1998. Greg Hollinger VE3NXB gave the Treasurers report. It was seconded by Drew VE3AOR that the report be adopted as read and the vote was unanimous. Marg Cassel VE3BLJ asked that the Minutes of the December meeting be adopted as published in the December Bulletin. It was seconded by Larry VE3LGN and carried unanimously. Ron Gimbel VE3DBD announced that there are 9 people signed up for the Beginners Course. Jim Butts VE3JZ gave a report on the Cyclone Bike Tour. He announced that anyone interested in helping should contact a member of the Executive. Gord Hayward, VE3EOS advised that the PUG Meeting would be held tomorrow evening at 7:30. Roger Sanderson VE3RKS advised that there was a car rally January 10, 1998 anyone interested should contact him. The meeting the adjourned.
