Chapter Thirteen
Field Day

1946 Field Day When the Progressive Radio Club broke up around 1950, all three of the area clubs continued on with the annual Field Day summer contest.

Sponsored by the American Radio Relay League, Field Day is held the last full weekend in June and allows radio amateurs to show how well they are trained in emergency preparedness.

The following series of photos record some of the early post war Progressive Radio Club Field Days held in the area.
